Fire alarm systems should be tested annually to ensure they remain fully operational and compliant. Our Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) inspections include:
A 1–3 hour system inspection, depending on the size and complexity of the premises
Review of system records and documentation
Identification and reporting of any compliance issues
Simulated alarm testing (without sounding bells in occupied areas) to check system performance
A detailed written report outlining tests carried out, any defects found, and recommended actions
A test certificate valid for 6–12 months, subject to results
